A creature I don't know

If anyone has a girl crush, it's me for Laura Marling. To me her music is art and thus her album artwork is...well,   near perfection, in an abstract sense. I do have this fascination to drawings that hover over that line between abstract and surrealism; here is my mere attempt and copying them. I feel bad to copy, a cheat almost, but these were simply to beautiful to just look at.

New York Nostalgia

Since my trip to that crazy city New York, I have been urged to recreate its chaos. I suppose this is also due to a recent obsession with the work of Richter. Just gonna do a general Google images link for you to see what I'm talking about. It's generally madness with paint/painting madness/mad painting, who knows. I love it, particularly his over painted photographs, which as you can see have inspired me somewhat. If any of you managed to see his Tate exhibition please keep it quiet because I may become very very envious!

Pretty flowers

When I took these photos it was freezing cold and with an angry wind. I think bad weather produces something quite interesting in a photograph of nature. Maybe something a little more than flowers being pretty flowers.

Abstraction

In the process of compiling a portfolio for foundation courses....I've been experimenting with expressive drawing (charcoal seemed good!) and these are the outcome. I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you lovely people.
